The other day my husband and I spent the day down at Nags Head. After a wonderful day in the sun, reading and relaxing to the sound of the waves, we packed up and went to Sugar Creek for dinner. We have enjoyed everything we have ever ordered there but their fried shrimp is wonderful and is a must for... More

My wife and I are spending a month in the Outer Banks and we were looking to eat at one of the restaurants on the Causeway. After reading reviews of several of them, we decided to try the Sugar Creek Sound front Restaurant. The bar area was very noisy, but we were led to a fairly narrow, but pleasant location... More

Stopped in for dinner at this waterfront restaurant. Very nice views of the sound and pleasant atmosphere. My wife and I split the prime rib and it was enough for the both of us. The meal was amazing and the service was too. A must do if your in Nag's Head.

We tried these guys out this past weekend while in Nags Head. I saw them online and they were recommended by our hotel. It wasn't hard to get a table on a Saturday night but we did go right before the season started (weekend before Memorial Day). My fiancee ordered the $35 special (salad, choice of two entrees/sides, and then... More

The food here is always good, the service, too. There is a gift shop on premises and I rarely leave empty handed (and we visit the beach twice a year - my husband grits his teeth when I go into the gift shop :) ) I love their broiled seafood platter, their dinner salads are great as are the crab... This restaurant is water front and has several tables sitting right along the windows for a spectacular view (and sunset), a small patio area for dinning outside, and a beautiful lighted dock which illuminates the water beautifully at night. There is a small bar and gift shop inside. The gift shop is mainly speciality jewelry with some very attractive pieces.... More

We have been to Nags Head many times and always eat at Sugar Creek at least once. We started eating there when it was named RVs. The crab bisque is absolutely delicious! Only order a cup though unless you can hold a bowl of very rich and creamy bisque. It has LOTS of crabmeat. I enjoyed the crab bisque with... More

My wife & I were on vacation in Nags Head and looking for a lunch spot. We have not been in the area before and our tried and tested method of finding somewhere good is to check the car parks and see how busy they are, usually a good sign if places are busy and it proved true here. I ate... More

Our waitress name, according to receipt, was Viktor. She was very quite but very good, friendly and was right on the refills. Hamburger steak meal was cooked the way the person in our party liked it, the green fried tomatoes and potato skins was well liked by another in our party and my steamed shrimp with a side salad was... Absolutely delicious crab bisque so full of crabmeat you got lots in each spoonful. It was piping hot and had delicate taste. Some might want to add salt, but it was perfect for me. Ordered a bowl and it was so creamy and thick, I probably got a week's worth of calories and cholesterol. Was served with crackers. A side... More
