Our eclectic, architecturally striking building and patio are the perfect backdrop for a casual yet unique evening whether you are with friends, family, or on a special night out. Enjoy one of our handcrafted specialty cocktails or treat yourself to a 'Radler' while contemplating our small plates and entree selections. Of course no meal at the Guglhupf would be complete without artisan breads from our renowned bakery and desserts that are simply divine. Trip advisor led us to this Euro cafe with a German twist late one afternoon as we were looking for a new experience. This location is tucked away bordering a residential community. With it' s eclectic feel And unique art collection, it all works to present a wonderful dining experience. Although we ate inside, it was obvious that the patio... More

We ended up here due to Tripadvisor and were not steered wrong. Great german influenced food. Had the meat plate and a oyster poboy. Both were very very good. Great atmosphere. The bread basket/bakery had some amazing things. Go here if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.

This was our first meal in Durham. Good outdoor seating and nice interior design, both with a relaxing feel. There's a good mixture of sandwiches and salads on the menu. We didn't try the pastries or cookies but we hear they are quite good. It's busy but you don't feel rushed. Perhaps part of that is the service was very... More

The inside is uniquely decked out with lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Their dark roast coffee is usually pleasantly strong. The mimosas are so-so, a bit too bitter sometimes, but their breakfast entrees (try the Eggs Arnold) are yummy. It can get a little crowded from 11AM-1PM on weekends, but the place is so fun the hassle is worth it.

The food was delicious! It's preparation was delightful and the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend the schnitzel. I look forward to eating here again. 👌👌👌

The food was good, the service was great. We really enjoyed our dinner. It is hard to find this place. The signage at night isn't very obvious and the GPS seems to take you to a different location. We were from out of town, so I was talking to the restuarant for 5-10 minutes and drove past the place a... More

The relaxed atmosphere belies the extraordinary skill of the Guglhupf bakers. Their staff are extraordinarily helpful, and it's a great place to dine in or take out. The food is so popular there are often lines to pick up takeout orders. The bakery has a top notch selection of their breads and everything to go with them

We stopped at Guglhupf for lunch earlier this week. This was our second visit. Our first visit, several months ago, was shortly after they opened and we assumed that they hadn't worked out all of the service kinks, yet. They still haven't. There are two entrances to Guglhupf. One leads to the bakery and one leads o the cafe. That... More

After a hearty breakfast of omlettes or french toast, stop in the bakery to pick up meats, cheeses, breads, desserts - much like our patisserie stops in Europe. Excellent.
