Set in the Tobacco District of Durham, Mellow Mushroom is a fun place to eat. The pizza ( so many kinds) is fresh and tasty. Nice atmosphere to bring a group to and have a casual meal. Good place to bring kids, too.

Nice vibe when you walk in! Told it was going to be 15 min but were seated in 10. Ordered a seasonal draft, although "dude" really didn't have much insight except for it's name (which I don't remember!). It was cold and served promptly after pouring. All the Mellow Mushroom Pizza places in North Carolina are great. Pizza is fresh and lots to eat. Very kid friendly place and can accommodate large groups very well. No doubt we will return.

I especially like the location of this Mellow Mushroom. It's in an interesting and historic part of town. The pizzas are delicious, but very expensive. They do have gluten-free pizza, which I really appreciate for my friends with wheat allergies. The atmosphere is fun, and the service is excellent.

Great service and great food. A nice place to share time with good friends. I have returned on other occasions and each time experienced the same great time.

We went to a couple of Mellow Mushroom Pizza's during our stay in NC and our favorite was the one in Durham. The pizza is great and there is a good selection of craft beer. The waiter had an Icelandic/Scandinavian name but we forgot (and were a little shy) to ask him if he was from Iceland (like us).
