Connolly's is still the best place to grab a pint in downtown Charlotte. Ronin is probably the best bartender in town and the staff goes out of their way to ensure you have a great time. Unlike other bars that have come and gone, Connolly's has survived the test of time and for obvious reasons.

Only problem with Connolly's is its always crowded! This is one of the better stops in Charlotte as they have a nice outdoor seating area and a bar area upstairs that is usually far less crowded than downstairs. Drink prices are on par with the neighbor hood. Definitely worth a stop if bar hopping in Charlotte.

First time in Charlotte, and looking for something outside the Epic Center. This was fun, great music, good beer selection, Irish staff.

No food here but a great friendly Irish pub (where everyone knows your name ;-}), with lots of cold beer, a big outside deck, and great atmosphere. In center city Charlotte on 5th, between Tryon and College streets.

This is a pretty cool bar & we had a good time however the door guys are very rude! Very unprofessional!

Didn't eat here but hung out on the patio and drank all evening, listened to the band, nice, attentive staff. Dogs and smoking allowed on the patio. Got a tad crowded toward the end of the evening, maybe next time I'll try the food!

Had a really nice time here. The owner was pouring drinks and it had this very welcoming neighborhood pub feel. What was really remarkable (considering this is the first time I've ever been in Charlotte) was that when I walked past the pub a couple of days later, the guy at the door recognized me and said it was nice... Always have a great time at Connollys. the beers are poured right and the staff is friendly.
