Sage is a nice little cafe located in a shopping center outside of downtown Chapel Hill. Eggplant, Legumes, and cinnamon are three of my favorite things to eat. I had the Bud-m-Joon, otherwise know as the "Eggplant Paradise". The name fits the bill. I couldn't get enough of this dish. Wife had Vegetable Kabobs that she shared with me. Beautiful... More

The plate broke when it accidentally got pushed off the table by our two year old grandson. The staff was very accomodating when it happened. This is a favorite of our daughter. Her husband was away on business, and she wanted to take us to one of their favorite places. We enjoy other cuisines very much, as a change from... More

Every time I've been in this restaurant the service has been horrible. I've gotten wrong orders on several instances where I did takeout. I've gotten wrong orders in the restaurant, I've had to almost beg the wait staff for refills on drinks, etc. The food is not bad, but the service is so bad its not worth the hassle to... More

To me, an uncomfortably small restaurant in an unattractive shopping center in North Chapel Hill. The lighting and decor inside was dark and depressing and certainly didn't match the funk music played over the restaurants speakers (where's the dance-floor??). Our waitress was Asian, spoke broken English and came off pushy, and at times rude. All that being stated, the food... More

A nice little place with good food (nice Persian soup and great humus). The service is lacking indeed, ordering a drink from the cold section doesn't mean you couldn't get a hot drink (like I did). Of course, they offered to fix it...by bringing ice?! Anyways, it's a shame to ruin a nice meal with a mix of hot water... More

Ate at Sage on a Saturday afternoon with my daughter. Total vegetarian restaurant Perian oriented. Interesting atmosphere and music. I got the hummus and it was delicious. The Persian sweet iced tea is also good. My daughter got Caprese and said it was real good. Good place for vegetarians and is located in strip shopping center so is easy to... More

Went to Sage with my wife, college son and his girlfriend. We visited early on a Saturday afternoon. The outside seating was full and we chose to sit inside. There were many selections on the menu. Since we had not been to this restaurant before, we had some questions. Our waiter had to go and find answers for us. Okay... More

I've had several other items on their menu, and the salads are very good, but it's the soup that calls to me. I'll be looking forward to having more of it this coming winter, as it's delicious and warming.

Food was o.k., but after only 60 minutes and a three course menu, they had presented us the check, while we were still trying to finish the entree. When we asked for a little more time, we where told that would be no problem, as long as we did not mind if they would start to sweep the floor. This... More

This restaurant is a pleasant surprise! Really nice menu with a lot to choose from. My husband had a pasta dish that was really good, and I had the Grilled cheese sandwich which was excellent! So tasty and fresh, and best of all; Vegetarian and Vegan options!! Love it!!
