Right near Appalachian State University there are many places to eat, but I found few serve a Pimento Cheese Plate which The Red Onion does have. You gotta grow up in the south to appreciate this. "Ferreners" from other places will have a fine selections of burgers and pastas, typical of what I expect so close to a campus.
