Visited here last night, (12/6/13) basic place with a pirate theme & friendly staff. Not a massive menu but big portions. Basic concept is you get a plate of rice & salad (we also ordered French fries) then a platter of either meat or fish or a combo. You then cook this to your liking over a hot stone which... More

Maria's Rock is def an experience to make if you like dodgy atmosphere, simple straight forward food from the hot stone prepared by yourself. The atmosphere here is dungen or pirate cave like. Maria's menu is simple straight forward anything you can fry on a hot stone. Not the place for a sensitive stomach or people who are not to... More

Basically this is a hot plate restaurant. They bring you out a hot plate for you to cook your own food on. It was very tasty, and I enjoyed my crepe too. There is a large pirate ship which my nephews would love, so I asked about booking in for 20 people and the waitress said we could book the... More

Maria's was a welcome change from the horrible food at Kempinski. Hot plate beef, chicken, fish all cooked by yourself at the table. It was a fun experience for my partner and myself. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Just a short walk uphill from the Kempiniski.

Fantastic local creole food, especially the hot plate fish fillets which you cook yourself! Amazing flavours and you are given a stand and a hot plate which is heated by a large candle underneath. The fish is served raw and you place the fish and trimmings on the hot plate to cook. The best meal I have ever tasted!!

it is an amazing place not only to eat but also to expore the arts and sculptures of Senior Antonio who is staying next to this place and get inspired by his work and life.

We had a wonderful lunch at Maria's Rock Cafe. The stuff was very friendly. We cooked our own seafood and had a nice coffee.

Unique place and outfit, delicious food on lava stone and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. A bit hard to find, but every local will help you.

It is a good option to eat at if you live at the Four Seasons or the Leela as it is close by. Not worth going all the way just for this. Food at the Four Seasons wasn't the best, so this was a decent option.

I enjoyed the experience of cooking my own food. The service was very good. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy a tour through the Pirate House after my meal.
