I read about this place while researching restaurants in the Adirondacks for our upcoming trip to Lake Placid. Saranac Lake is a quick 15 minute drive from Lake Placid and we decided to have dinner here one night during our stay. The reviews are very accurate. The food is great. We had the fish tacos and the reuben. We knew... More

This place has the most amazing food in a really fun and funky atmosphere. One note of warning: do not stop here if you are in a hurry! Everything is made to order and well worth the wait, but it is not fast food!

So we look at it as options. One option is to drive to Albany, take the Amtrack to Penn Station, check into a hotel, take the # 9 train, transfer to the F train, walk six blocks . . .. Or, call ahead, go to the Eat n Meet, maybe wait a few minutes and get the real NYC experience... More

The Eat 'n Meet Grill and Larder is a place unlike any other. It is a tiny little storefront located in Saranac Lake in the depth of the Adirondack Park in upstate NY. Extremely unpretentious from the outside, with the only real indication you are there a statue of Elvis in his heyday greeting you out front. Inside, you will... More

You can pop in for a delicious made from scratch meal and not have to worry about your attire because you pay for what you're eating not the ambience.

Great Local Eatery, unusual and creative menu for the area. Local farm ingredients used in many dishes. Best burgers using fresh beef from farms nearby. Interesting tin plate specials, in the summer try their local caught pike po boy! Just a few tables so take out is best. Call an hour ahead for pickup, dishes are cooked to order!

Ah, my absolute favorite go-to restaurant in Saranac Lake. They have everything from finger food to full meals, lots of vegetarian options, amazing seafood and fresh daily specials. Not only is the food great but the owners actually care about what you’re putting in your mouth. It’s healthy, seasonal, sustainable, and as local as can be. It does take a... More

Stopped in for a bite on a recent trip. Not from the area so we based our choice simply from online reviews. The poor reviews were mostly from the service or the "decor". We had zero complaints about either. The atmosphere wasn't your typical cookie cutter diner, so maybe it's not for everyone but I enjoyed the uniqueness. As for... More

Don't let it's appearances deceive you! We drove by it several times before finding this tiny treasure. It has very limited seating (maybe 3 tables?) and is quite crowded inside from a variety of dry goods & knick knacks but at the same time, is cozy, quirky and rustic. You instantly feel like a local when eating here! We got... More

Really good food. Read the reviews here and given the dearth of good restaurants in Lake Placid we placed a take out order. It;s about a 20 minute drive and there;s no parking, and only about 6 seats in the joint, but the staff and the locals (occupying the seats, they know where to come for good food) are excellent....
