What this restaurant is doing along Main Street in Poughkeepsie, I do not know. It is by far the best restaurant that I have enjoyed in the area in years. Thank you trip advisor for paying reviews of this place, otherwise I would have missed it. The dining room has the authentic decor and feel of a Brasserie. The service... More

I've had a few great experiences at Brasserie, but this one fell flat. Octopus was super chewy (I'm accustomed to a very tender preparation at my favorite eatery) and even my favorite dish (Brasserie's fried oysters) were chewy and overdone. I will return, hopefully to a better dining experience.

Everything on this menu is French...and delicious. My fave being the Camembert appetizer and the mussel entree...perhaps the best I've ever had. Oysters are fantastic! It is a more upscale restaurant so I can only go here on payday. :)

Went to have early dinner with my son and he ordered a hamburger that was excellent and I ordered the lobster risotto which was good but would have been excellent if cooked just a merely 3-5 minutes more. It was in the hard side of al dente but not raw by any means. Service was really friendly and professional.

The waiter was totally obnoxious and overbearing, constantly inquiring about the meal in a phony, over-dramatic manner. The food was one step up from diner fare with stale brioche and overdone hamburger. I asked for charred outside and pink inside, it came dry and overdone. It's funny, there's a little place in Pawling, NY called "Petite" that can serve a... More

We visited Brasserie 292 for brunch and were not disappointed. The food was top notch. We particularly enjoyed the eggs Benedict and the lobster roll. Oysters on the half shell were a bargain at a dollar a piece. The decor is impressive, very French. Service was helpful and attentive. We look forward to trying Brasserie 292 for dinner the next... I had a good meal here last Sunday. The food was overall 4.5 out of 5, but rather overpriced I thought, perhaps because of the local presence of CIA. The warm camembert starter was truly excellent, as good a starter as I have eaten anywhere in a long and varied dining career. My duck entree was very creditable, but only... More

I have never had a bad meal at Brasserie 292, I've never even had a mediocre meal here, it is always astoundingly delicious, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. I have been here for birthdays, anniversaries, girls nights out, ladies lunches, brunch - over two dozen times - why? Because it's that's good! Excellent service, unique and hip décor, it is... More

Decided to take the kids and try B292's Sunday Brunch. It was a good choice. The food was as usual, outstanding. The kids chose the Malted Waffles and the Creme Brûlée French Toast and loved them both. The wait staff was so attentive and Renee, Bartender extraordinaire, wowed us with amazing Bloody Mary's and homemade "kid friendly" cocktails. Kids felt... More

Everything about Brasserie 292 shines. It has the most wonderful atmosphere and authenticity that you feel you're in Paris the minute you walk in. As for the food and wine list - superb. A true Brasserie in that there are multiple price points with consistently outstanding food across the menu. The oysters were lovely and our table fought over whose... More
