Met up with an old friend for breakfast on a monday morning. By 9:30 the local traffic had died down. Great coffee, quiche and breakfast sandwiches. Also has a great lunch menu. Only about 8 tables inside and well run.

I'm happy to report that since my last visit there, the friendliness of the service has greatly improved. Terrific food and a perfect stop on a bike ride (or any other reason) if you find yourself in Millbrook.
Babette's is a gem in the town of Millbrook. Soup, sandwiches, bakery items all are top notch. Stop in for lunch...you won't regret it!
Stopped for a snack in small NY state town near Poughkeepsie - good coffee, irish soda bread-good menu- funky selection -lunch specials- recommend

I've noticed that both times I've been there and my tablemates remarked on the same thing. If they could improve in that dimension it would be a total winner.
We had breakfast and it was excellent.....Babette's is right on the main street in Millbrook....I really wanted to try everything that was in the case...We tried the cookies and they were delicious!
Visited for the second time and plan to return. Lots to choose from for lunch, even at the later part of the afternoon. On our recent visit we had the salad trio and also the quiche and mesclun salad. Everything is very fresh and the crust on the quiche is wonderful. 'While you're in the area plan to visit the...

We have never been let down by Babette's Kitchen. Eat in or take away it is always good. Our service wasn't the greatest, she forgot my order, but my italian sandwich was so delicious all was forgiven.
