My party and I shared one of our best meals here for dinner since arriving in Lake George a week ago. We are here during the off season and there aren't many places open. I got the Mediterranean Chicken which came with a side (I chose rice) and a vegetable (tonight's was carrots in a tarragon butter). The 2 large... More

A complete interior makeover has made this adirondack style restaurant cozier, warmer and friendlier. You don't need entertainment with the owners working the crowd. The American Cuisine is well priced and presented in ample portions as wll as fair prices. The pizzas are A new bonus, as well as great steaks and pasta dishes. Drinks are a bit overpriced, and... Based on positive trip advisor ratings we tried the Rain Tree for dinner & we were really disappointed. Perhaps it was because early Sep is already out of season, but we went to the Rain Tree for dinner & were about the only ones in the place. Prices were reasonable & service was good, but not great. In our party... More

Visiting from Wisconsin we had our arrival lunch at RainTree. Perfect hamburger and a Turkey club to die for. One of the owners introduced herself and told us about their pizza, We went back Thursday night to watch the Green Bay Packers in the pub area and had a great thin crust pizza that was more then we could eat... My wife, daughter and I were fortunate enough to find this restaurant . We were trying to find someplace away from the village. We didn't have much luck with our meals in town. We were greeted by the Owners mom with such a wonder smile and sweetness. Later we met the owner Rich. Staff were very friendly. We got great... More

We have been passing this place for years on our way to our weekend house but never stopped because we thought it might be too touristy. Last night we arrived late to Lake George (around 8:30) and wanted to try something closer to home. Great choice! I had the rain tree salad with salmon ( it comes blackened, but I... More

Although our waitress was very friendly, the food was terrible! I have never seen or ate greasy ribs! They were disgusting.. The bruschetta was soooooo bland. The steak was dry and no flavor. It's a shame because the staff was very accomodating!

Finally a place to take our 3 teenagers out to dinner in Lake George without breaking the bank. Good, American food, nice size portions, at a refreshingly reasonable price.

We have been going to The Rain Tree for years. It has undergone many changes but the food has always been good. The ne wlayout with the bar in the middle of what used to be the dining room did not work for us and, at least for families, send the message that its a bar with a small restaurant.... More
