Food was awesome and the atmosphere was perfect for hangout. Eating seafood was fun at this place...
We stopped by for family (parents and two tweens) dinner before going to Queens Archery Club which is close by. We love flushing, Queens which is the real China Town and now parts Korea Town in New York City. We love Korean food and usually go to Kum Gang San, and we thought Sik Gaek will be very similar, lots... More
Seafood...Seafood...I love eating seafood pot in Korean restaurants. However, the seafood pot is being cooked in front of you, so you get to see the live seafood (esp squid keeps moving) being cooked in the pot...A little awkward and gross, but tasted great.
My husband and I ate at this restaurant and it was by far the best "deal" we got our entire trip to NYC. We walked in as soon as they opened and were surprised that it wasn't busy at all. Since I never tried live octopus before I was really hoping I could try it. Unfortunately, they did not have... More
Decided to give them a try after realizing they serve raw octopus, although i had it in the pass and it doesn't taste like anything, I wanted to give it a second try. We ordeded the seafood hotpot, think it was $80...but they give me tons of food for the money paid. Good, low key, food oriented establishment, foodies heaven.... More
This review is for their Woodside location. The place is small, so be prepared to wait a while on busy nights. Recommend making reservations. Food is incredible. My husband spent a year in Korea, so we're always on the hunt for a good Korean restaurant, and this one by far, is the best we've had in the area. Service is... More
We went here when a buddy of mine saw this restaurant featured on the Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" show. First off, it was a Sunday afternoon, which was a slight bummer - no live octopus...only on Tuesday's and Friday's but we still got the Seafood Hot Pot, anyway. Started with the seafood pancakes and then dove right into the Hot... More
We have been there sevveral times. Great place every visit. The hot pot of seafood is amazing. Go with a bunch of people. The waiters are so cool. The music is great.
Came here with family for a celebration. My son had been here before. They ordered a seafood pancake which was tasty; a seafood hot pot which was wild; fresh octopus appetizer; noodle soup; and another mixed seafood pot. The wild part was seeing the octopus crawl around the pot. We had requested NO lobster due to an allergy. The first... More
My husband, his brother, mother and nephew took me here for my birthday. He's been raving about Korean barbecue for a long time now so I finally got to try it. It was so much better than I had anticipated. First, the tables are made of wood with a burner in the middle where they light it up and cook... More
