After reading the review where a customer was told "GFU" and in the managements response he reiterated "GFU" to a customer I will never again go there.
I am local and have been there several times it was much better with the previous owner and things can be seen going downhill with the quality of the food.

Hi - I am sorry if You were unhappy at Nichol's. We work very hard to make every experience the best we can. The other review that you reference is an unfair evaluation of Nichol's or the staff. Those People were Horrible, Abusive to the staff and unreasonable. When they were asked to leave the whole restaurant erupted to applause....

These people were a problem from the get go. We were extremely busy and I'm sorry they did not have a good time and in my opinion they had no intention of enjoying themselves or the wouldn't spend time with some individuals in that party. OK for a quick burger and beer, nothing more. This restaurant could use a little sprucing up. I'm always astonished by the number of cars in the parking lot, maybe they're first timers. I can't imagine wanting to return here.

Had a great dinner here this evening.
We were a large party of 7 and our reservation was honored right on time.
The servers were great and the meal quickly started with fresh out of the oven bread sticks ! Wow.....so good.
Bartender made a great Margarita and with the drink on special (2 for 1) it tasted even better...

Nichols has both great food and great service. We went for the first time this year over memorial day weekend and its better than we remembered. Creamy pasta smothered with fresh seafood and loaded with flavor made my occasional splurge worth every calorie! I have returned several times and never have been disappointed. ...since it was sold....just not the same...prices increased and quality decreased ....so sad it used to be such a gem....the name is the same...but "Nichols" is no longer..

The food is above average for the Hamptons and the pricing is modest. The atmosphere is friendly (even to locals) and they are open for lunch.
