This was a family dinner and our first time at this historic place. Staff the greeted us and seated us were not friendly. Our waitress Peggy was great. The menu for Mother's Day was limited to about 10 choices. We chose Filet Mignon, duck, spinach raviolis and Seafood Newburgh. The restaurant was busy and there a bit of a wait... More

The food is the draw. Well prepared fresh simple food. Attentive service. A very dated environment (including the server's blue dresses and chairs that I think might be original to the restaurant's 19th century origins). Despite its steeped in tradition decor, this is the best food on Route 20 for many miles around and well worth trip from Rochester. They... More

the blue dresses make me feel like i'm back in the the 1800's or the nut house by todays standards! It's pricey but so is driving there! the olives were good! the carrots were dirty on the skinny ends! the green slaw was good, the bread was good! the turkey was good! the water was good! Some old lady was... More

We took our Mom and Dad out for their 40th anniversary on Saturday to the Holloway House in Bloomfield. Not really impressed...the bartender was just plain mean and the server was not nice either. For the price of the entrees I expected much more. The food was good, but I definitely never need to go back.

We loved it here - we went on an extremely busy night and the service could not have been better and the wait staff kinder. I don't think I've ever seen more generous servings doled out at a buffet and of the most expensive items, too. Hungry for some crab? Here are a dozen! You like mussels? Enough for a... More

Because we enjoy the orange rolls and bread so much, we went back for another visit. I had ordered the turkey and it was moist and juicy. Everything about the meal was very good. Although, I've been coming here for years I have seen the portions decrease and the prices increase. Spending over $20.00 for a turkey dinner does seem... More

Food is nothing special. Prices above average. Attitudes aloof. Credit cards could be a problem. Hostess ,part owner, rude and very customer unfriendly.

The draw to The Holloway House has to be the chance to go back to the time your grandparents would take the entire family out for a special meal together. Problem is the menu hasn't changed. The baked goods are very good. The buffet is not. Overpriced.
