Great little place with friendly staff. Very good value for money. All the dishes were huge, fresh and tasty especially the fresh red snapper on the BBQ.

Authentic Vietnamese family restaurant. It's not the best food on the beach. The restaurant two doors down at the Tropicana hotel is much better. However, the price was amazing, and Hieu is the best food you can get on the beach at normal Vietnamese prices. The atmosphere and service is more authentic Vietnamese than other places. Do NOT expect European/American...

Had one lunch and many dinners there during our visit to PQ.
Our favorite there was the "Crab cooked in coconut" and "Grilled Squids"! The grilled chicken was also good (our grilled duck wasn't that good!)
The service can be very slow when it is crowded, which is usually the case! There is only 1 guy there, the owner, who...

We ate here in April 2013.
Can echo many of the previous reviewers.
It is a nice location, like many other S.Asian beachside fish places.
The coconut curry was good, although dome chilli sauce helped spice it up a bit.
Great fresh red snapper from the grill, which was good value for around $7.
Had no problem with the language...

Good food, bad service!
The BBQ food here is really good, specially the Red Snapper. The garlic bread is wonderful, and so is the salad.
The service though - not so good. Only the father speaks english (and one brother just a little bit). The youngest brother, who does the BBQ, speaks no english at all. It´s only the father...

Good location on the sandy beach (Long Beach). Cook on grill BBQ on the beach with two tin bucket ... seems silly but it works. The service does not work because one waiter attempted handle all customer orders and catering. However, the food is good and quality vs. price is OK. The adjacent finer restaurants there were no customers ......

Basic but excellent place right on the beach. We went for dinner and had BBQ prawns and a whole red snapper with lemongrass and chilli which were both great. A side order of fried noodles and sticky rice and a couple of beers each and the bill was only 500k dong (£16). Service is a bit random and dishes turned...

I have average expectations, even though i am from NYC, but i had to write this review. Food is mediocre, service terrible as we waited half an hour for mains and got appetizers way later. When the food came it was greasy and sub-par: vegetable curry was very average, calamari ok but nothing special and spring rolls greasy and hard....

We ate here twice. We tended to go about 8ish and got a table no problem. The restaurant is right on the beach. Everyone that works in the restaurant all seem to have their own job to do. It's the 'father' that takes your food and drink order so don't bother asking anyone else! Really enjoyed the food especially the...

We really liked this restaurang. The food was great, the best so far in Vietnam, good prices and good service. But the chairs stand on the sand on the beach. No fashionable place at all. Just a coco nut curry to die for...
