This is a must visit! One of the small secrets in the Cape. If you are in Swellendam or on tour through it - STOP!!! Only one problem... you have to book in advance;-) Italien cuisine at it's best and with a very personal twist.

We arrived in Swellendam on a wet winter evening and were fortunate that La Sosta was highly recommended by our host. Gianni was very happy to talk about the dishes we chose and the combinations of flavours were well harmonised. One of the best memories of our holiday in ZA.

We had very good food all holiday but this cuisine which is recognizably Italian with a 'twist' of South Africa tops the list! We understand it is usually booked up months in advance. We were lucky to be 'just' late in the season and our B+B managed to book us in.

We stayed and dined in La Sosta on our recent trip to South Africa and it was truly the finest dining experience we had .Gianni is a perfect host and Christina produces sumptuous food from the finest ingredients as Gianni explained to us over a lovely breakfast the following morning,we cant wait to go back.

We had a stop over in la Sosta on our way from Cape Town to Plettenberg Bay. We stayed in one of the three room that form part of la Sosta. This was our third visit and we loved it. Fantastic Italian food witrh a South african twist. They use good products.

Deserves all the recommendations and accolades possible. Who would expect this high level of cuisine in such a small town?! We were bowled over firstly by the food: the textures, the delicacy of the tastes created for ravioli and gnocchi dishes.
