this place offers one of the best breakfast's in town if your going looking for atmosphere stay home but if your looking for good food this is your place.
Great food, fun atmosphere....My family and I discovered this place this summer and kept going back. Breakfast and lunch were excellent! My favorites are the eggs benedict for breakfast and the grown up grilled cheese and gazpacho for lunch.
Had the crab cake appetizer and the N.E. Clam chowder. Crab cakes were excellent . Wasn't sure about the chowder when I saw it, smelled Italian. Wow was it good. I would drive to O.C again just for that. We got our food to go. The woman who waited on us couldn't have been nicer. She said we could wait... More
My boyfriend and I had breakfast here on a Saturday morning and we loved it! The atmosphere was nice and laid back. Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful. I had the cheese omelet and my boyfriend had the pancakes-both were delicious. We will be back next time we're in Ocean City!
The food and service were both great at Bongo. The server was very helpful in helping us narrow down our choices and she was spot on! Would definitely return and try some of the other great sounding things on their menu!
YWe decided to visit Bongo on the advice of friends and had a wonderful experience. We asked our server, Karen, what she reccomended for breakfast and she suggested that we go for specialties not available at other resraurants. We followed her advice and great advice it was! I went for the Eggs Bongo which was nothing less than mouth watering... More
The food was good. The grilled cheese was a bit if a misnomer but still tasted good. The service was a little slow, but very nice. Overall, better than all the junk in the boardwalk so giving it an OC 4 stars.
My family and I have been to Bongos many times because the food is very good. However, more than once we have experienced rude staff/owner (I believe). We just had another rude experience last weekend and as much as everyone in my family likes this place, we keep asking ourselves why we go back since other restaurants are much more... More
If you're looking for greasy eggs, greasy potatoes, greasy breakfast meat, and over-buttered bread, then this is the place for you. I've never felt so nauseous after eating breakfast. The homemade breakfast sausage tasted more like the meat used in sausage & peppers, not exactly breakfast focused seasonings. The service was average. The coffee and juice unremarkable. I will not... My in-laws raved about this place, so we stopped to check it out our last day in OCNJ. Very good breakfast, lots of options, some unusual choices, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I got the banana bread French toast, which was delicious! My husband and older kids got the eggs Benedict, and said it was great!... More
