good food, great setting, waiters are a bit sleepy. It used to be BYOB, that was what made Satis a great bargain. Less so now.

Awesome wine menu, loved the atmosphere, server was very friendly. I had been dying to go to this place.... it certainly has street appeal and as the weather gets nicer, it is nice to see the sidewalk seating being taken advantage of. I haven't been to the winebar attached, but have heard good things. Every time I walk by, it... More

This area in Pauleus hook jersey city is rapidly coming a restaurant destination: three good restaurants in the same block, and many others close by. Satis is a friendly, cozy and gourmet place to go. We have been there several times and always satisfied. Of course not all the dishes are excellent, but the combination of good service, price ,... Food was good; entrée portions reasonable. However: appetizer portions were very small given the prices and the service left a lot to be desired (e.g. the glass I wine that was ordered before the main meal arrived mid-way through the course). I would not return.

I love Sunday brunches there. Service is a bit slow but great food. The burgers are amazing. Best restaurant around.

I'm amazed at how warm and inviting they made what had been a very awkward space, but they really transformed it. The food and service is always excellent, and I'm never had a negative experience in all the times I've dined at this restaurant. It's always bustling with a nice crowd of well-heeled locals. Love their braised short ribs, gnocchi,... More

Read the excellent NY Times review of this place and resolved to check it out. We went on a frosty February night and found it to be cozy, chic and welcoming. Started with the baby argula salad with fennel vinaigrette and parmesan, followed by ricotta gnocchi with white beans and kale, both very nice. My husband chose fried oysters, followed... More

I visited Satis Bistro with two others, and we all had an "OMG" moment. It was one of the finest meals I've had in quite some time. We enjoyed it so much, we immediately made another reservation, which is perhaps all you need to know about this review. Satis has a cozy, upscale feel. The wine bar can get a... More

Six of us went to the fairly new bistro last night and was amazed. The hanger steak was excellent, the scallops perfect and the short ribs out of this world. Chef Michael has all the right moves! Will definitely return again and again.

I visited Satis for dinner not knowing it was the prix fixe tasting night, which they do every so often. All 4 courses were delicious and includes a bottle of wine for two. The cassoulet was outstanding. The lighting is very low and the atmosphere cozy in spite of the additional loft seating, like you're in someone's home looking into... More
