A delicious aroma of grilled meat becons one to the Cowboy Grill. The frequency of the locals gives an authentic feel to its wild west decor. Because I was in beef country, I had a steak and it was excellent.

This was a great place to eat. I had a half roasted chicken with fries and baked beans. My friend had the pulled chicken and the potato salad. The atmosphere was nice. I thought the service was also good.
We came here on our third evening in Gardiner and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had ribs and brisket - both were lean & meaty and done to perfection, with great seasonings and sauces. We talked to our waitress who said the ribs are something they get by special order - definitely worth it. Service was well-timed and very friendly -...

While staying in Mammoth we decided to go to gardiner for the night to eat to get away from park food. We actually ended up returning the next three days cause we enjoyed it so much. The first night we had burgers which were awesome. The following nights we tried BBQ and steaks which were good as well but the burgers...

This place was directly across the street from the duplex we stayed...we could smell the BBQ! The building itself was pretty cool and the waitress explained that the owner brought the logs from Georgia! The food was great, I had the pulled pork sandwich and mike tried the brisket....he kept saying the brisket was coked "the way it should be"!...

good food, reasonable price, only 5 miles from Mammoth Hot Springs so easy to go for a meal and still stay inside Yellowstone.
My wife and I had dinner here while staying overnight in town. I had the BBQ Beef ribs (special) and my wife had the Pulled Chicken. Both were excellent and were large portions. Nice atmosphere in a new log building. Staff friendly and attentive. Seems to be a family run business.
In Gardiner, this is THE place to eat, we went twice during our 4-night stay and would have gone again had we "found" it earlier. Clean, laid-back, good service and tasty food in generous portions. We both had country fried steak which was excellent, also had their burger and their hamburger steak, such good comfort food. Recommended by our landlord...

We really enjoyed this place. Loved the list of rules on the table that basically says if you aren't laid back this might not be the right place for you. It is very rustic and the people are super friendly. Really enjoyed our dinner and a nice walk back to the hotel. I had the ribs and they rocked!
Asked local were to eat and he suggested "Cowboy Lodge and Grill". We ate pulled pork plate and pulled chicken sandwich. I normally don't order BBQ at untested joints, but I couldn't resist we opened the door and smelled the BBQ. NO FAT in BBQ. Very satisfied with quality and quantity of food. Stew good too!
Clean and good western...
