Just be aware that I am an ice cream snob. We went here because we had eaten as a local pizza joint and wanted ice cream. Nothing to write home about here. Ice cream is standard and the teenage girls behind the counter were not getting along and it showed. If you're looking for a sweet tooth fix, this will... More

I came across this place while googling a place to get ice cream in the summer. My boyfriend and I went in and got our icecream, and could not get over the selection or size of our cones! Great old fashioned place for ice cream served by the scoop. Five gallon pales in the display, with many flavors to choose... More

So we first stumbled upon this place when we moved to the neighborhood. The ice cream is handmade on site, and they have about 30 different flavors rotating on a regular basis. In the summer, the line is out the door and down the block. But the best part....the PIZZA! It's run separately from the ice cream shop, but they... More

Yes, GOC is probably only the second best home made ice cream place in town (Izzy's is tops), but it's a great neighborhood spot. The lines can be down the block in the summer, but it's worth the wait. Walk along Grand with your cone and pretend you live in a truly walkable city.

this is a place all the neighbors go to have Ice Cream. This is a cool place for treats on a summer evening on Grand Ave in St Paul. Grand is a safe place and has many great restaurants and stores for shopping

Long lines in the summer, but worth it. One of the true old fashioned ice cream shops serving home made product. I love ice cream and this is my favorite place in the twin cities.

Nastalgia again. I can't see how they stay open in the winter. At the bottom of your cone there's a malted milk ball to keep it from leaking. Fun to go.

Thecones are fresh and the ice cream is good a bit above the grocery store but good. The location can't be beat.

We love to visit here. Great homemade icecream and waffle cones. It get very busy in the summer so give yourself 5-10 minutes while waiting in line. But worth the wait!

We love the ice cream. we try to stop by and there is always a line and lots of families enjoying a cone or two. The biggest problem is parking. more than once we could not park with in blocks and give up.
