Facing major surgery the next day, we were looking for a fun night with an interesting place. Zzest filled the bill. We ambled through the market, sampling the little delicasies they offered and picked up a couple of creative culinary gift items. We found a nice table and tried a couple of appetizer items. Zzest features rare cheeses and we... More

It pretends to be a high class restaurant but it is not a part the prices! It is so expensive! Food is average good.

I went to ZZest for a special event - but it seems as if they have set dinners on a regular basis so I'm hoping my review speaks to their usual service too. The ingredients come from local and small food providers, which I like. The food was delicious. I had a five course meal - my favorite courses were... More

We had a great meal here a few weeks ago. Starting with a cheese board with 3 cheeses of our choice, various nuts and fruits and bread. It was a meal in and of itself but we held back and took the leftovers home! Our cheese board had a great ginger spread with it that we ended up buying the... More

Not only are the meals amazing, but since half of the space is a market, you can buy ALL of the ingredients which they used to make your meal and try to make it at home! Their cheese selection is unparalleled in Rochester, they have hard to find ingredients, and they also carry unique local and regionally made foodstuffs. I... More

In the warmer months, nice covered outdoor eating area. In the winter, a bit cramped inside. Great and inventive food.

It was my first time in the place and it was kind of awkward when I walked in. I think its great that its a cafe/market, but I just wasn't sure what to do or where to go when I got in. I wasn't greated by anyone, so I checked out the market side first. There were a lot of... More

It was $65.oo a person, but well worth it. First, when you walk in, you notice it is a market of sorts with many wonderful organic and natural products. A foodies dream. Yes, it was fun to just shop and try different cheeses and such. We were seated at the chefs table near the drink maker and everyone from the... More

This restaurant is a bit hard to find but worth the effort. It's located on the Southwest side of the Apache Mall on the other side of a strip mall fartherest (sp.?)from fromTrader Joes. This place is very cool. It is a combination or great gourmet type foods for sale and a restaurant on one side. In the summer there... More

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at ZZest Market & Cafe on 1/16/13. She had the beef stew, which she thought was perhaps the best she had ever eaten. I had the mushroom risotto, it was outstanding. The service was friendly and attentive. To start we had the bread board with honey butter, very very good. The wine... More
