Twigs is wonderful!!! I love how many gluten-free dishes there were. And they were amazing, not simply ingredients left off of a favorite to call it gluten free, but a beautifully done dish, snack, small plate to share, or entree that will melt in your mouth! It was addicting! Thank you for being so amazing, for really making it work!... More

We went on a Friday night and there was about a 45 minute wait. However, I was with relatives that I don't see often so we hit the bar and enjoyed our drinks and the decor while waiting for a table. Our food was fine.

There are many things to applaud, however it should be noted that the staff is very compassionate to the customers that are MAYO Clinic attendees... there was no judgement, and they always were ready to help.

This is located in the Best Western hotel. The fireplace makes the atmosphere warm and the waitstaff is attentive. They have a standard menu and a great gluten free menu and are accustomed to requests for changes to menu for Mayo patients with dietary restrictions. I had the shrimp scallop and rice selection which was excellent. If they aren't too... More

My experience at on April 21, 2013: Was seated upon arrival. Waited 20+ minutes for a server to finally come to the table to ask for drink orders. Ordered the combo platter on the "hot rock" for two. Received the dish 50+ minutes after the order. When we received the meal, it had unseasoned and bland meat. We were not... More

This is the hotel restaurant for the Best Western in Rochester, located several blocks from the downtown area across from the city park/golf course. The area is amid older, not very well-maintained houses...safe, but not upscale. Decor was fine with earth-tones (a must with a name like Twigs, I guess) and a contempory look. Quiet and clean. We had the... More

Just sad. They have a beautiful setting, great outdoor space, and nice decor, but the food is just really MEH! The rock dishes are bland unseasoned meat with cloying sauces, the apps are just not quite there and overall, the food is underseasoned and poorly executed.

I met friends after work to catch up on each others lives. I ordered a small plate of 4 skewered shrimp and a small spinach salad with dried cranberries & assorted veggies with a fabulous vinigarette dressing (I held the bleu cheese.). Everything was excellent. The server was attentive, did not rush us, was friendly and refilled soft drinks without... More

An interesting concept--a very hot "rock" brought to your table to cook your steak, fish, etc. It's like fondue cooking without the oil.

On two visits to the Mayo clinic this month we dined atTwig's. First because of the convenience to our hotel, but the next time because we wanted to try more. Their chef has a wonderful feel for combining tastes that are complex and delicious. I recommend the Filet Mignon and Blue Cheese or the Plum Fillet and Blue Cheese which... More
