Dined at Zelo twice during a recent work trip to Minneapolis. Consistently good food and great happy hour menu. We had to eat in the bar area for dinner. This place books up fast! If you want to eat in the dining room, make sure to call ahead for reservations. Highlights include..... To share... Ahi tuna crisps avocado sesame sweet... More

I have eaten in Zelo's previously and was disappointed in my pasta meal. On this occasion I had the Walleye and it was superb! The wine was excellent as well as an outstanding Ceasar Salad. Unfortunately there was a noisy group of 20 somethings that were having a party in the same room we were seated and they were loud... More

While at a conference in downtown, Minneapolis, I was directed by the concierge at our hotel to Zelo (when I asked where the best place to eat could be in downtown). He didn't even pause as he suggested Zelo. Then he said: Be sure and order the Walleye (Minnesota's version of halibut). I am not necessarily a lover of white... More

Went here on Sunday night (late!) as the restaurant was just closing. They were so accommodating and allowed us to order from their regular dinner menu as we sat in the bar (nice quiet area by windows). The food was phenomenal and probably the best meal my husband and I have had in some time. The service was just as... More

eaten here 50 or more times. Love this place. Their pizza is awesome, any variety. The seafood pasta is another one of my favorites. I love the turkey burger as well. Great food and not too expensive.

I always enjoy my dinner at Zelo's in downtown Minneapolis. In fact, this trip I had lunch and dinner at Zelo's. Both were great. It was good to have reservations as the place was busy both at lunch and dinner. I always enjoy the Walleye for an entree. Again, it was great. I love the bread and olive oil that... More

Kind, welcoming, very attentive to customers' needs. And add a SUPERB pizza, even better than most you find in italy. Try the "flat bread" (classica pizza bassa) with avocado, rucola, scamorza, small tomatoes and HOT pepper! Really great. Thanks Zelo!

Nice looking restaurant. We were seated immediately. Crab cakes were bland unfortunately. Beef tataki was delicious though spicy. For main courses, the lamb scallopine was delicious. I would have preferred a large portion though given the price. The halibut on pea risotto was fabulous. Wine list was OK but often bottles i see in the supermarket.

I visited Zelo on a recent trip the MSP with a college. The offering at Zelo is heavily influenced on Italian but not really “traditional” it doe bridge the gap of the American palate with Italian offerings. This visit was just a quick one where ordered a serving of the risotto (chicken and wild mushroom risotto carnaroli rice pinot grigio... More
