It was a fun place for cocktails and dinner. Bad acoustics, very hard to hear conversations. The food was always good if somewhat overpriced.
Linda took me back to our favorite Italian restaurant last night. As usual the owner Mark was there to greet us. I had the Seafood Putaneska with scallops, shrimp, lobster, artichoke hearts, mushrooms and a host of other great ingredients. Linda had their Spaghetti Carbonara. I had a nice glass of chardonnay and Linda had a red that the waiter... More
We had a great dinner here several years ago with friends when we visited from OR. Couldn't remember the name but walked the charming main street of Excelsior until we found it again. Great food and service. We'll be back.
My wife and another couple had the pleasure of dining here on Sat. night (11/17/12). Our server was spot on (esp. with the wine he paired with our entrees). We had calamari and scallops carpaccio for app's, the beet salad (awesome), wife had lamb chops and i had the fish special...both were perfect combination of flavor and proportions. We look... More
Biella is a great little restaurant for a romantic dinner or dinner out with friends. Be sure to book a table, as it is small and fills up fast. We had very attentive and knowledgeable service, great suggestions on menu items. We each ordered something different, fish, short ribs, chicken breast, mussels and each dish was delicious. The chicken breast... More
Bella is located in a turn of the 19th century building. A wide, open space with a tall ceiling covered in tin. Lovely to look at, but impossible to have a conversation when busy. And on a summer holiday weekend the place was packed. The food is good, but the pasta dishes are pricey for what they are. The Caesar... More
Our party of four dined at Biella tonight, a Saturday. We made a reservation for 7:15 and we were seated immediately upon arrival. The waitstaff were very attentive, but not overbearing and we did not feel hurried or rushed. The menu not overly large, but it had a variety of antipasti, salads, pizza, pastas, entrees and some nice specials. The... More
My girl friend and I had a wonderful meal once again. A gorgeous evening and a great meal, The scallops were to die for, the mussels were excellent and the pasta putanesca was good. Inside was a little noisy but the sidewalk seating was wonderful.
We went as a special birthday dinner. But it just missed the mark. The food was expensive, not that tasty. The portions were small. The atmosphere was okay the chairs were uncomfortable and the table barely big enough for the 4 of us. It was early in the evening and it wasn't busy, you'd think they would be all over... More
