We had a drink here and the view was to die for. Sadly so was the price of the drink. Two house high-balls ran $25. Not complaining as I expected as much. Great service and only one drink did just the trick.

We were fortunate enough to visit the Grand Hotel the day before they officially opened for the season. This meant that we were able to take the elevator all the way up tot he fourth floor, climb the star covered steps to the Cupola Bar and then work our was back down to the ground floor, and look in all...

The stairs have stars on them. You know you are on your way to heaven. This is definitely one of the more beautiful views from a bar. My husband and I went late in the afternoon and found the service very attentive. There was no music playing, which made it very nice and quiet. We enjoyed it very much.
Huge, glistening Murano Glass Chandelier in the 2-story bar. Charming decor, comfy seating, 270 degree views of the straits.
Such a perfect place to sit and enjoy drinks or coffee. And walking thru the halls of the hotel will let you see aged pictures from times past!
The waitress ignored me when I entered for a table, was unfiendly, unhelpful, extremely slow and there is not even a drink menu. The whole place is totally snobby. I will never return there.
Great view of the island from this bar!!! The bar was closed while we were there because of a group that was in house. We were able to see the view from the bar though and it was amazing!!!

It really is beautiful inside with the chandelier in the middle of the room and the little tables lined up against...

We stayed awhile andlistened to the music. It was nice but not something that we normally do. The music was nice and relaxing and the scenry outside was breathtaking from most angels in the room!
If you are staying at the Grand Hotel, the Cupola Bar is a nice place to go after dinner. The autumn nighttime view is not as spectacular as in the day but you can still see the lights of some barges passing through the Straights of Mackinac at night. The bar has two stories and a pianist and or singer...
