I really love the atmosphere of Bell's. It's in a beautiful building with wonderful light and decorations. Definitely a place to stay for an afternoon of idle chatter. The food and beer are really great, and the prices are comparable with most brewpubs. Lots of sandwich options, all under $10. You order your food and beer at the bar, and... More

Great beer, great service. Neat rehabilitated old building with nice garden. Parking is slightly challenging. My spinach feta burger was great, one of the best veggie burgers I have had. My husband's BLT was disappointing, the bacon was seriously dry and brittle. Not bad for lunch, but would desire more at dinner time. We will return after kitchen renovations.

Love coming to Bells to hang out and enjoy their many bands that play both indoor and out (during the summer months of course). Love their summer brew "Oberon" and had a very yummy Muffleta sandwich last time, ordering food is all done at the bar and can feel a bit odd if you have never done it before. But... More

Visited here for the 1st time while passing through. I don't really dig beer but my BF does. He said you can't go wrong with the Oberon - a classic & if you like IPA go with the "Hopslam" (10%). Nice outdoor seating area on a nice day. Benches, patio tables, picnic tables, or just throw down a blanket on... More

Have been here several times over the years. In the good old days, you could stop here and get amber ale in old Huber bottles, before they had their own. You used to be able to get stock in the company by volunteering to paste labels on the recycled bottles. Stock is mighty hard to come by these days. This... More

We stopped here on a recent Sunday and were surprised to find a huge line out the door before the place even opened! Turned out everyone was there for the Sunday brunch. Since we had already eaten breakfast, we skipped the big brunch line and headed into the cafe for lunch. You order at the bar and then pick up... More

Went to the Eccentric Café on our way to Grand Rapids. Expecting our trip to be "all beer all the time," our first stop was Bell's. The food is above-average bar food (various dips, sandwiches, and other choices). You order at the bar, and then pick up your food at a small window near the entrance. So table service is... More

Lots of Beer! No table service. Busy joint. Cool pub. Simple but good food. Had the sampler. More than enough for 2 people, took some home for a third. Will go back.

Obviously Bell's makes great beer, but they've only earned 3 stars from me for the overall experience. Granted some of the negative things were not really in their control but it still effected my visit here. We arrived at 3:30 and found parking easily. Walked in and wasn't too sure what to do, I saw people crowding around the bar... More

The food was delicious. The menu contained vegetarian items. I am not vegetarian, but wanted to try a tofu dish and was surprised at how delicious it was. When my husband tasted it he did not know that it was meatless. He enjoyed their jambalaya. Of course this is Bells so the beer was good. We were a little confused... More
