Great pies. Indulgence at its finest. Pricey. Freshly baked goods. I would recommend a take home pie.

My family has a cottage on the island and we have been coming to the island for 20 years. We are always looking for a new place to eat. My sister-in-law has a gluten allergy so we have difficulty eating out when she comes ot the island. Scottish Bakehouse is one of the few places on the island that consistently... More

The first time I had their Islander sandwich (eggs, cheese, plus "the works" on an English muffin) I thought, I've found my place. Also liked their gluten-free baked goods. But the last time I was there, the inside of the muffin was so overdone it was charred black, and some of the "works" were missing. What the hey? But I... More

Stop by for a cup of great coffee and a lemon bar. The baked goods is worth the trip. The sandwiches are quite substantial and the picnic tables welcome you to stay awhile and enjoy.

This was a great find on the State Road out of Vineyard Haven with homemade soups, vegetarian dishes and baked goods.

Okay, it's very decent, but everything depends on a lot of shortbread base, which is very dry. Also, the baked goods are expensive even by Island standards. I like it better than some of the other pie purveyors, but that distinctive dry taste is just not my thing.

As a night shift worker and an all morning sleeper, I have to appreciate this place. Breakfast all day (which to me is noon lol). There are regular sandwiches for all the normal schedule folks too. The pastries are amazing. There are so many options for everything with a local feel. You can substitue local eggs for the breakfast sandwiches.... More

The fod that the Scottish Bakehouse in West Tisbury is very good but they never seem to have sufficient supply of the different choices offered. The scones, in particular, are great when they are available. Maybe we just visited the Bakehouse at the wrong time.

Stopped at SB based on past reviews and we were not disappointed! Staff friendly, smiling and helpful and the Peach Pie (although a little expensive) was DELISH! Also, the spinach / garlic loaf of bread we got while there was a perfect treat for toasting the next morning. We will return.
