Staff was friendly and helpful but the sandwiches were average. We found they used too much dressing which overwhelmed the chicken in the sandwiches.
Just the other day I went there to get my usual coffee and sandwhich.Ended up getting verbally assualted by one of there employees and it didn't end there. She( the heavy set,Long-haired,red head),was even abusive as I got my meal. The BD use to a great place to come and have a good meal and be treated with respect. Now we're subjected to...

Sweet treats and good eats, grab a sandwich on your tour around the island. Fun to look at all the black dog paraphenalia. You'll see the T-shirts everywhere.
It seems like you always have to wait in line. The food is good but sometimes the wait is frustrating.

Just get the pumpkin muffins with the cream cheese filling. I know, we shouldn't indulge but hey, you are about to get on a ferry to go back to reality so splurge.
When we need a little TLC, my daughter and I head here for a large (and it is giant) iced coffee and a Woofer (egg sandwich) on multigrain with spinach and tomato. We stopped here for lunch and were lucky to arrive before it got crowded. There were many interesting choices on the blackboard. The food was ok ,but we were eager to make some selections from the bakery items- the oatmeal raisin was deliciious as well as the chocolate chip.
Had the red velvet cupcake which had a great, moist crumb and tangy cream cheese frosting. I would go back just for this. I came with my one-year-old, and staff made him really feel welcome. He loved running around the store and even received a balloon. Coffee and apple cruller were good, but not quite as perfect as the cupcake!
