The rehearsal dinner for our daughter's wedding was at the Home Port. The group started outside on the patio. The raw bar of clams and oysters was terrific. The shellfish was very fresh and tasted of the sea. Topped it off with icy cold beer. We had the lobster dinner with chicken for the non- lobster diners. The lobster was... More

very popular in the area - lots of seafood is served. Also has a take out area to the outside of it. Our food was good. It was busy that night but service was still good.

My family's been going to Homeport since the early 1960's when they first started going to the Vineyard. It was always treated as a major event when I was a kid int he 1980's, and for a few reasons. First, the drive to Menemsha from almost anywhere else on the island is going to take 20-30 minutes, with some of... More

I am reviewing the take out window only, not the main dining room. It's a good place to buy a tasty and pretty large lunch. The menu is varied and has a little something for everyone, including the vegetarians. The food is prepared pretty quickly and served up hot. They offer a grilled fish sandwich, not a fried fish sandwich,... More

My husband and I were excited to go to Menemsha to watch the sunset. We had heard good things in the past about the food at the Home Port Restaurant. We opted for the take out and ate outdoors. My husband got a scallop plate for $18.99 with 6 scallops on it. They were overcooked with the worst batter he... More

We decided to give this restaurant another chance since we have not been there since it came under new management. Will not be going back there again. It is very expensive, even by Martha's Vineyard standards and the food is average at best. A single lobster, with nothing but a couple of potatoes and not much else was $36. There... More

I was worried about eating hear because the many bad reviews. This place is right on the water and has good views of the sun set but sitting on the beach is better. Even though the place is on an island it does not mean they can change crazy prices. I payed 18$ for a salad and it was not... More

This was my first trip to MV and had a wonderful meal at Homeport. The sunset was an added bonus. My friend and I each had a soup Lobster Bisque and Clam chowder both delicious. We then shared a lobster roll. I wouln't have been able to eat it all as it was huge. The staff at the Homeport made... More

Eight friends enjoyed dinner and the sunset at Homeport one evening in August. Great food and service. I ordered the Lobster roll which was very large portion...others enjoyed the raw bar, scallops and fresh fish. Can't wait to go back!

My friends and I had such a fun night at the Homeport last Friday. We arrived just in time for one of the best sunsets I've ever seen - was almost a nail biter so make sure you leave early enough! Anyways, the view was so worth the effort and upon arriving we got to drink our own wine which... More
