Seldom does the food, ambience and service all deserve to be called exemplary, but it is justly deserved when describing our dining experience at Wheatleigh. From the welcome greeting to our table departure, all was wonderful. Price is extremely reasonable for this valued dining experience. No surprises, however, as the accommodations and service during our stay was equally as wonderful.

My son surprised me with lunch at The Wheatleigh. He had heard about it from a work colleague. Just walking up to the entrance was amazing. A beautiful setting for an equally grand building. He made reservations for us in the library. There were just a few other couples having lunch so it was rather quiet. We could hear French... More

We arrived at 1:10 on a rainy Tuesday afternoon and were greated by Victoria. She took our rain jackets and wisked us into the library, a room with old dishes in large glass cabinets. The waitress brought a small hot crusty bread, and later goat cheese accompanied by house crackers. My wife and I ordered the smoked salmon rolls filled... More

It's the right place in the wrong place. $1,000/night is for France, not the Berkshires. Same with dinner. And the attitude you can cut with a knife and keep

For those enamored of gracious living, The Wheatleigh should be on your list of places that offer not only fine dining but also an elegant estate venue. Actually, it is a destination in and of itself, although we have ben there in conjunction with our Tanglewood concert nights out. Whether you opt for cocktails, dinners, or overnight stays, The Wheatleigh... More

This was our anniversary dinner and it could not have been more special. Food, wine, service all outstanding. Definitely a place to go for a special occasion.

We have been coming here for many years. The setting is incomparable--- Italian/Spanish-type manor house in a beautiful Berkshires setting. The food is always outstanding and the service tries very hard to be both friendly and professional. Given that they train young European men and women in the hospitality industry, it is unfair to expect perfection. I would say, though,... More

We heard about the Wheatleigh from two friends who raved about how beautiful it was. We were not disappointed with the reality! Situated amidst rolling hills, the Wheatleigh rises up like a Tuscan fantasy. Our evening at the Wheatleigh was the stuff of dining fantasies - from cocktails on the picture-perfect lawn to dinner on the gorgeous terrace - the... More
