Elegant dining, enjoyable cuisine and excellent service can be found at Blantyre. The setting is spectacular and I was not disappointed.

Despite rave reviews of Blantyre in many publications, it was the worst "haute" dining experience we've ever had. Main courses were bland at best . The wait staff was stiff, cool (as in distant, not "with it") and extraordinarily pretentious. Only cost $243 for two. There are dozens of better restaurants in the area for a third the price.
Had a wonderful stay at the Blantyre. The hotel is quite lovely on a large secluded grounds. We stayed in the carriage house which we thought was better because the spa and pool are in the same building. We did not stay at Blantyre; rather we had dinner there with another couple. It's an extremely traditional and very expensive restaurant. The setting and restaurant itself is beautiful but it is overly pretentious. There were about 6 or 7 staff there always interrupting our conversation to make sure "everything was all right."
