One of the best omelettes ever. Great home fries, crisp bacon, super coffee, and all at a very reasonable price. Who could ask for more?
Love love love this place. We've been fans in all previous locations but their current location is the biggest and best so far. They have a lot more tables to accommodate more hungry people. Even though it's a lot bigger, it is still a very "cozy" place.
How do I say YUM emphatically enough to get my point across? My husband and I went with another couple to Cafe Amore because we'd heard such great things about it. There was close to an hour wait for a table, but because we were prepared for that, we were ok with it. There is hot coffee available while you... More
We have always enjoyed Cafe Amore for a good breakfast. The waffles are just the way I like them -- never hard; the black and blue "French toast" (lemon bread with cream cheeses and berries on top) is usually great. The wide choice of Benedicts pleases any taste, and their corned beef hash is excellent -- not too salty. Their... More
We have been going to Ogunquit for a few years now and everytime we've gone we couldn't make it for breakfast for one reason or another. this last trip I decided that we're going no matter how long the wait! We decided to wait until the last day of our trip, which was a Monday, to have breakfast at Amore.... More
Great food and wonderful funky decor. Be prepared to wait, but they let you serve yourself your coffee while you are waiting. There isn't much parking behind the restaurant, so if you're driving you can pay $$ to park in the lot across the street and then amortize your parking cost with a walk to Perkins Cove or Marginal Way.
They had many interesting and delicious types of omelettes and eggs Benedict as part of a varied breakfast/brunch menu. The decor was bright and fun. Unfortunately, the service was a little slow and they did not follow through with a request I had for a slight variation from the menu. It was also a bit pricey for a breakfast place.
Café Amore, a breakfast-only café, is a worthwhile, pleasant stopover for coffee and a variety of meal choices following a brisk walk on the Marginal Way, or just a stroll down to Perkins Cove from the town of Ogunquit. Our favorite was the lobster eggs benedict, but there are other great and innovative dishes as well. Highly recommend this café.
They really know how to do a good old fashioned downhome breakfast here. The french toast is nice & thick, not the "wonderbread" kind of stuff you see at a lot of places. The eggs & bacon are really nice as well. It's their pancakes that really set them apart. Only Polly's Pancake Parlor or Parker's Maple Barn are better.
