the food rivals some of the best boston north end italian restaurants. they dont drown the food in sauces. its not the meatball and pasta type of place but truly italian cuisine you would find in northern italy. i use to live in trieste and this place reminds me of the foods we had over there. great place.

Finding such an authentic Italian restaurant in Boothbay Harbor, particularly this late in the season was a great surprise and a real treat. The food was absolutely delicious -- real Italian. Servers were attentive without being intrusive. We'll definitely be back.

Risotto technically means "rice" in Italian but it also should, techinically, be arborio rice cooked slowly by adding broth a cup at a time until it is creamy and just slightly al dente. Pricey but worth the money. The people are really from Italy and the food was wonderful. It had a romantic atmosphere that made it special.

We went with about 25 people and they were very accommodating. We never wanted for anything and everyone loved their food. Highly recommend!
