I had the chance to have brunch here on a Sunday morning. It can get kind of busy; however, I was able to arrive prior to the church crowd around noon. I ordered the chicken tenders and sweet potatoes waffles with peach butter. It was good and really filling. Our service was swift and no compliants.

We were walking around the circle and decided that we wanted to try a place near by that was locally owned and well rated. We were certainly glad that our handy smart phone found Maxine's! We waited about 10 minutes to be seated, and it was well worth the wait. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She brought us... More

I am glad I tried this combination. I had heard of chicken and waffles but never tasted it. I like trying new things. The air conditioning was not on when I was there, and it was in the 80s outside.

I was in town for a conference and a friend of mine and I were looking all over Indy for soul food restaurants. It was 8pm and most places were closed or were about to close. We came up this restaurant and the service was great since we were just arriving and they were closing in less than an hour.... More

We were all sceptical of chicken and waffles when one of our friends wanted to go there, but we all ended up trying it and we were not denied a fabulous breakfast. The chicken and waffles were very good and we could not get enough of the peach butter. Our waitress was very helpful as well. Would definitely reccommend to... More

Comfort food is the menu specialty at Maxine's, and my friends and I were not disappointed. This was the first time several of us had tried the Southern treat, chicken and waffles, and we were all pleasantly surprised. I ordered a sweet potato waffle and shredded an enormous chicken tender over the top, then topped it with peach butter and... More

It's attached to a gas station and the interior is not much but the food was wonderful! We had the max fries. Fried chicken on top of cheese fries - brilliant! That chicken was so good. My son could not get enough of it. The fried corn bread with peach butter was a yummy combo. The peach butter on pancakes... More

Just had to try chicken and waffles for breakfast. First choice was the waffle I had to pick between original, vanilla , sweet potato or blueberry. Next choice was chicken wings or chicken tenders. I went with the vanilla waffle and the chicken tenders. The food was fantastic, they also brought it out with some peach butter that added such... More

I ordered the waffle sandwich with turkey sausage, meat was not very good as well as the over cooked fried egg! The waffle was very tasty and the orange juice was huge! Coffee was good/fresh and the owner was very nice checking on us several times! Dee dee our waitress done a great job but she seemed as if she... More
