This place is really good, everything I have ever eaten I have enjoyed! A bit pricey for lunch, but well worth it. Get there early for lunch, always busy and open a short time.

I've been to Carambola a number of times and become more convinced with every visit that there is no better Latin food in the area!! The tortas (sandwich) are very well executed and every soup I've tried has been inventive and extremely flavorful. I haven't had any of the quesadillas but I would imagine they are great. You must give... More

Carambola is the absolute best Latin fusion lunch place in town - well, and the only one, but it is certainly among the best restaurants in Coeur d Alene. It is only open for lunch, Monday through Friday, and it typically fills up pretty quickly, as it is small. The sandwiches are amazing, as are the amazing daily soups and... More

I went to Carambola while on a recent business trip to Cd'A. A few of my corkers went two days in a row! While a very small, very basic lunch cafe, the food is fantastic and the owner/operator is very nice and gives a warm welcome to everyone who comes into the door. The owner is so nice and wants... Fresh, fresh, fresh. Lots of great veggies and salads. Authentic Peruvian food from scratch. Wish they would open for dinner a few nights a week. Looking forward to winter soups.

We all enjoyed the soup of the day which was curried squash. Wonderful! The sandwiches are so good...great bread and the chimichurri sauce was really tasty. I want to go back on a Friday for the tamale lunch. And I would like to try more of their soups. Great lunch!

They put an unusual spin on some classic sandwiches. I wish they changed up the menu a bit and had the option to add some kick to the food. They do cater to Idahoans as opposed to Latin traditions, IMO.

We moved from New Mexico and we were afaid we would miss the cuisine that New Mexico is famous for. Not so... Cafe Carambola is one of the best restaurant I have had the pleasure of dinning in. The Jamica beats anything I have had - even in Mexico. Highly, Highly recommended. My new favorite restaurant.
