After seeing this place rated as a 5 star restaurant I expect a lot more. I wouldn't compare the cajun food to NOLA where some people have. Average food and a little pricey. Wouldn't rank this place as #2 though.

I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. My co-workers love it when I surprise them with hot beignets from Angelet's.
This place is so good! There is something for everyone - everything isn't Cajun. But they do have fantastic shrimp 'n grits. My favorite - build your own grits. Cream cheese, bacon and mushrooms? Who knew it would taste so good!
Good Big Easy style food. Try the beignets (good flavor but not quite Cafe DuMonde). NIce friendly staff with a rustic atmosphere.
Got good recommendation for this place for breakfast. Went there, and were not disappointed. We ordered the breakfast egg sandwich (with biscuit) and a shrimp/crawfish omelet. Service. food and coffee were excellent. Will make this a regular visit when we next return to the capital city.
We have been going to this restaurant since they opened and have watched them grow. The wait staff has always been friendly. We have tried alot of the dishes but always go back to our favorite - shrimp and grits. OMG, this is the best!!! The grits are always just right (creamy). And for dessert you must try their bread...

This is a nice quaint restaurant. There's nothing fancy about the decor. The staff was friendly. What makes this restaurant special is the food. The food was Great. The shrimp creole omelette and the shrimp and grits were delicious! It's a little pricey but well worth the splurge.
Don't know of any place quite like it. My wife loved it because of the Seafood. Crawfish Omelettes? Don't think I've been anywhere quite like it. Great food. A must do in Tally.
Angellete's is a Tallahassee jewel. I must eat there every time I visit. We always get breakfast and beignets, but I find my eyes wandering at the plates of those who opt for lunch entrees. Cheese grits, perfectly seasoned sausage, home fries that make you feel at home, biscuits like Grandma makes with fresh jam, served by a friendly and...

My family took me for a Sunday Brunch and the food was delicious. The servings were enormous though. Nice atmosphere. Loved, loved the beniets!
