Quite a supprise tucked away in North Bay Village. Shrimp curry I can advise excelent. If you like hot ask for it as medium will to mild for you. I didnt try the Japanese cusine

“inconsistent and sometimes too greasy”

i order carry-out from here. it's okay if you must have thai. some nights it's pretty good. but other nights it's not good at all! they tend to be heavy on the oils, and food can get really greasy. sometimes the carry-out tastes old. so it's your gamble. i prefer another thai place on normandy isle.

Sushi Siam is in Bayshore, Morningside, Brickell, Aventura, and more now. I think Bayshore is the original. This place is really non-descript. It has become pricey, but well worth it. The service is friendly and the food is fresh. They have carry-out... and their Thai/Sushi are both great.
