Hopefully, you won't make the same mistake we made when we Googled the name and ended up at a place with similar name (Tamarindo Pizza) in Deerfield Beach 20 miles north! Then, Google navigated us past the address of this place because it's sandwiched between SW 4th Ave to the West, and SE 4th Ave a few blocks to the... More

El Tamarindo is in an old area on an industrial street. Don't let that fool you. Inside is wonderful food, served by folks that really make you feel they invited you to their house for dinner. Paella was spectacular. So are the steak Marimonte and Parriliada. We usually sit at the bar for lunch. The staff is great.

Don't let the modest exterior fool you. Inside this restaurant you will find a waiter who sets your pristine linen napkin on your lap as you are seated. However, the prices are not in line with this formal environment. My husband and I shared the chicken fajitas - plenty for both of us at $12. Tender, flavorful strips of chicken... More

A buddy on mine and I flew into Ft Lauderdale for a friends birthday party. Both of us were hungry so I fired up trip advisor and picked the nearest good local restaurant and found this little gem close by. The place is clean, basic and ready. I ordered a combo lunch with 3 meats and rice and beans. My... More

What a find, in the most unexpected location! Four of us ordered meals as well as an appetizer. The portions were so generous we had plenty for another meal. The ceviche appetizer was delicious and enough for the four of us. Despite how full we were we just had to try the homemade coconut flan. What a delight!! This will... More

My wife and I love grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. If you throw in perfectly cooked rice, beans, and a side order of fried sweet plantains we are in heaven. Add a pitcher of well proportioned and blended Sangria and the meal goes way over the top. Well, El Tamarindo did not disappoint and was a pleasant surprise as... More

I wrote a longer review and it didnt save properly, so long story short: The food is always impeccable, plantains are just the right ripeness, carne asada is the best meal, and the pico de gallo that you get on the side makes a great salad topping with no dressing necessary. Romantic enough for a date, or comfortable enough if... More

If you don't try this restaurants, it will be your loss! Lovely servers try their hardest to make you feel welcome, even though some struggle with English. No matter, they will get someone to help you. The menu is heavily Latin American, but varied enough to please anyone. We came during happy hour, and my wife ordered a delicious frozen... More

We order from here once a week. We order $100 at a time and never have complaints. The plaintains are always perfect. They always come within 30 min. Prices are good. I always save the rest of my food for dinner theres so much.

Went here for dinner with a group and had a decent meal and tried a bunch of different items. Got a pizza to start which was good and is their specialty. Ordered a chopped salad and a mixed salad and I can say don't order the mixed salad because it's just iceberg lettuce and some tomatoes, etc. Eggplant parm, chicken... More
