We had take away from this place and I was excited to see that alongside all of the traditional meat dishes. In addition to many tofu dishes, they have the "wheat meat" dishes that I often find in larger cities or exclusively vegetarian Chinese restaurants. It is okay. Then menu is about the same as any other place and the food is okay. I dont really see the big deal about this place. Not enough seating.

Not too greasy like other Chinese restaurants !Great dinner for the entire family or a filling lunch !

Black bamboo is great! There are some great vegan/vegetarian options. I especially love the vegan boneless ribs. Service is always friendly and the owner usually greets customers at the counter.

Being from NY I was a little skeptical about trying Chinese food in Ct b/c I heard NY has some of the best stuff. Much to my surprise and delight the food at Black Bamboo is extra yummy and extra fresh! I'll be going back again and again.

I've ordered take out for lunch and the food is pretty good. They deliver and it comes to you pretty promptly. I haven't been in the restaurant itself to comment on it.
