Hidden behind the Mobil station at US- & Lockwood in the heart of Riverside.is absolutely th best mexicn takeout.
From chile relleno ato enchiladas and tacos, the cooking is made to order from fresh ingreditents and it tastes like it.
Call in advance as it takes a little time to deliver mad to order food. Worth the wit.

I had spicy pork, chicken, shrimp. All very good. The wait can be long on nice days. Will try one of the tortas next time- they looked great. Park benches to eat outside at Jackie Robinson park

I have been visiting El Charrito for nearly two years. Their location on Apache Place in Riverside (Greenwich) is by far the better choice but you can't go wrong with Tacos or Huraches from the truck. Carlos who's never without his hairnet on is a Stamford local who travels to Mexico and brings back even more authentic and amazing recipes...

A big yellow truck. I've eaten there many times. Consistently, a high quality treat. They also have a storefront in Riverside, CT. It's not a perfect dining experience, but the quality of the food completely outweighs any potential drawbacks...the chef, Carlos, knows his stuff! It's all AUTHENTIC, unlike the Americanized stuff you get elsewhere, and for rock-bottom prices too.
