The food, drink, and staff were excellent! There always seem to be customers here. So, we tried it out. Now I know why!

I brought my family for dinner and the food was outstanding. My wife and I had the Superior Platter, which was like a Mexican sampler. It was delicious and there was enough to bring home for another meal. Their chips and salsa are the best around too.
One of two restaurants within walking distance of the Hampton Inn of Rocky Hill. Typical chain Mexican, certainly reasonably priced and service was friendly but spotty. We ate ate at this restaurant during our recent visit to the area. The restaurant was right next to our hotel the Hampton and within walking distance!! The food was great and the bar was hopping!! Our group really enjoyed the service and atmosphere. Typical On the Border restaurant!!
You pretty much know what you are going to get at On The Border. Fajitas, chips and salsa decent service reasonable prices. It typically draws a good crowd as it is right off the highway but many of the locals come here too as it is consistent.

Was considering getting an alcoholic beverage, but since the prices weren't listed and judging by the prices of the food, I wasn't going to risk paying $5 or more...

On the Border is pretty much your average Mexican Restaurant, however the Chips and the Queso Dip are great!! Also enjoyed the Margarita's in a Shaker.

And the pitcher of margaritas was perfect. We upgraded to Patron, added fresh lime juice, and got two good drinks for each of the three of us...

Like most chain restaurants, On the Border franchises can be good, bad, or indifferent, depending on the skills of the local management. The Rocky Hill location is actually far better than some other locations I have eaten in over the years. We last ate there about ten years ago and decided to give it another try while in the area...

Not only is the food terrible, this restaurant always looks dirty and smells funny. Ive given it a few chances, but im done, also the margaritas are a rip off. Theres hardly any liquor in them at all.
