Top notch service, quality and creativity of grub. I ordered a cocktail that I just did not like (my fault really) and they replaced it no question asked. Pricey but worth it and will return.

I was in New Haven for the first time and used tripadvisor to direct me to a great restaurant. I went to Zinc without a reservation and was seated immediately. I ordered the pork dumplings, they came with chopsticks but, due to their size (the size of a large ravioli) they were unwieldly without a knife and also spicy, to... More

We went to Zinc early on a Friday night so we could try the free wine tasting from 5:30-7:00 PM. I highly recommend it! Not only did we find a parking spot on the street close to the restaurant, we enjoyed the tasting and the restaurant wasn't full yet, so we didn't experience the noise level that others have noted.... A new local resident has been my dining companion recently and is amazed at the number of outstanding restaurants that New Haven has. Like me, he quickly added ZINC to his list of treasures. The place was packed because it was Restaurant Week but that didn't hinder us from getting seated and served exactly on time. Brought along a couple... More

We very much enjoyed the food at Zinc, as well as the excellent service. The only downside was the noise level which made dinner conversation very challenging. I had a marvelous lentil salad with hazelnuts as a starter and my husband had the tuna appetizer. We both had fish--a well prepared salmon for me and a very good tuna for... More

We headed to New Haven from Hartford to celebrate a new job with a close friend. When Zinc called to confirm my reservation I requested a table that would afford us a little privacy. When we arrived they had the large table at the front of the restaurant waiting for us. The service provided by the waiter was outstanding as... More

My graduate school daughter made reservations for us to eat here while I was in town for an evening to visit her. She would never have eaten here on her own dime - too expensive for her budget, but she happily took advantage of Mom's credit card, and I was happy to foot the bill. Ambience was great, wait staff... More

Our recent dining experience at Zinc did not disappoint with respect to the impeccable, attentive service and the beautifully presented, delicious dishes. Our only dislike of the entire experience was that the tables are so unbelievably close together that there is no sense of privacy, and one cannot help but overhear neighbors' conversations. With the removal of a table here... More

The 'Princess' works right next door. So she eats lunch from there all the time. It's an Asian Fusion restaurant, which scared me a little the first time I went there. However, it is fantastic. The owners are always on site, the manager is great. There is not one bad thing I can say about the place. They sell pizza... More

Based on the many many excellent reviews, we were expecting more when we had dinner at Zinc last weekend. My tuna was bland, the side of fried spinach extremely greasy and the side of spring roll totally devoid of taste. My wife's salmon was ok, but again, nothing special, and the smoked salmon salad it came with as a side... More
