A super place to eat when you want a home type meal. They even have real maple syrup for pancakes if you request it. YMMM!

Good diner atmosphere, friendly service.... but the food was forgetable, at best. Went recently with a party of four adults and two kids. The kids had grilled cheese sandwiches and milk shakes that were OK, not culinary stretch here. Three of the adults got omelletes, one got french toast. The omelletes were terrible: cold, hard and rubbery. The french toast...

We go to New Canaan Diner a lot for an easy breakfast with our kids. It's a fun atmosphere with incredibly friendly service and great diner food. It's a fun place to grab a quick bite for breakfast or lunch but the dinner menu is impressive as well. We will be back for sure.
If you don't mind searching for a parking space, this little diner is quite nice. A bit crammed together and is rather small. Typical diner type food, nothing special. Service was good.
Prices are a little above average for this type of food. Have been here before when it was packed and it can be quite loud. Today only a...

If you like a diner with lots of hub-bub, friendly staff, and great food, this is the place for you! We went on a crowded Saturday morning -- every seat in the place was full, but the turnover is fast, so the wait wasn't too long. There are a ton of omelette and benedict options, but I am partial to...

Good food, but the meat was not fully cooked, yet the pasta was delishous! The food came rather quickly (the service was not slow). Everyone there is very nice and friendly. I would go back. Its a very casual place.
Thought it would be great, since it's in New Canaan, but very disappointed! Service was awful, and food just mediocre. Seating extremely crammed - my husband and I couldn't wait to leave. In a town with so many competing restaurants, this will not make it for the long haul.
wish i hadn't wasted a meal here. waitress got both burger order and side-dish order wrong. plus the burgers aren't "small-town-diner" type burgers...but frozen patties, delivered with no seasoning whatsoever on a dry bun with no condiments until i bugged the owner for some. overrun with little kids in the summer, which is fine and fun--would've been really lovely if...

I have given this place so many tries and every time the food is aweful.
I went here twice last year and found the food to be underwhelming and overpriced. Fries, burgers, and sandwiches were all OK but not great. I won't be returning, but I do think that this is one of the few kid-friendly places in town. I believe that it's owned by the same folks as PRDs, but the food isn't anywhere...
