SB is usually full and based on my knowledge, you can't book-is a walk-in restaurant. However, my friend and I passed by it one evening during our stay and we were lucky that they have opening at the bar. The staff were incredubly nice, professional, and prompt. The bartender recommended us the perfect cocktails and the food was fantastic. Please... More

What a great way to end a hard day of skiing than by a delicious meal at Sweet Basil. The atmosphere is mountain upscale and could easily be located in any major city. The presentation is outstanding and the selections from appetizers to entrees to desserts is wonderful. The desserts are very creative along with tasting excellent. Hats off to... More

We just went for lunch this weekend with some friends and really enjoyed it. I'm glad we had reservations because it quickly filled up while we were there - even though it was technically the off season but the lifts had reopened. We had the mussels and they were great. I appreciated that our waiter was forthcoming in some customers... More

I wasn't sure what to expect, some reviews have been mixed...but I tried something new and wasn't disappointed. Sweet Basil has unique twists on food, friendly service and a very nice atmosphere. Like other places in Vail, they have an extensive wine list and a nice open bar area to create good flow. Prices were on par with the area.

I never fail to go to Sweet Basil when I am in Vail. The food and service are always excellent. This restaurant is a bit upscale, but if you go for lunch, your wallet will appreciate it. Reservations are a must.

Went here on recommendation by several people and it was very good! I am not the "fine dining" type but this was a lovely dinner. Very unique choices for food and our table loved everything we ordered. Our server was EXCELLENT and really made it a wonderful evening. Food is definitely pricy but it goes with the type of restaurant... More

Its a shame all the effort that many people; Cheff, owner and all people are doing in the kitchen that waiters screw up with bad attention, just because im not a ROCK STAR , or a Vail Public relation guy. (Vail relations guys where in the next table, so they where so busy attending them) If.... they can improve the... More

Fine dining in Vail w/out pretentiousness. The service at Sweet Basil stands out. The waitstaff was friendly, informative, and very attentive. The meal was refreshing and the ingredients were fresh. The beet salad was lovely to start. For the main course I had the tortellini and while it was good, I wouldn't necessarily order that dish again. Husband had the... More

Really interesting menu. I had the special -- the beet gnocchi! Not beef, beet! I'd never even thought about beet gnocchi and it was delicious. Friends had other unique and very tasty dishes as well. The restaurant has what looks like it could be a really nice front porch/patio right off Vail Village's pedestrian road -- it was a nice... More
