We went during happy hour and they had great prices on good wine and starters. Most of their dishes are unusual - we had fun trying some things we'd never had before. We loved the grilled romaine salad!

Maybe we were there on an off-night, but our meal didnt live up to the hype we'd heard from fellow travellers. It was decent, but not outstanding.

If you want to try new and interesting foods, come here. Elegant menu with interesting choices. Try the grilled romaine. For a quieter meal, request the side dining area. Nice night out with friends!

We celebrated my husband's birthday with a meal at Bistro CV in January. I found the wine selection to be pretty decent and the staff was very helpful. The food was AMAZING. From our small plates, to our salad, to our main course and desert, everything was top notch and delicious! I would highly recommend Bistro CV to anyone wanting... More

We ate at Bistro CV in March with another couple on our ski trip. It has been on my list for several years but we never quite made it there, now it will be a must every visit! We were seated in the dining room next to the window, not in the bar area and we had no issues with... More

Dined here on our first night in Steamboat. The food, service and atmosphere were wonderful. The kitchen really put out some attractive and creative dishes. Some were absolutely delicious but even those dishes that didn't come off perfectly were well prepared and the concepts were sound. We particularly enjoyed the Scallop Tataki and the Beef Tenderloin. Poached lobster with sweetbreads... More

My son lives in town, and he always wanted to try Bistro CV, so we settled in for an expensive meal that was delightful. Brandon, our waiter, steered us toward some delicious items--heirloom tomato small plate, chicken chorizo pot pie, potato white truffle gnocchi. Our first dessert choice was sold out--darn--and we settled on the vanilla pudding like option with... More

Returned for a second visit after being here last winter. As good as we remembered, excellent food, well prepared, leisurely pace. Not the cheapest night you'll have but worth the splurge

We get to Steamboat almost every year for ski races and we have been to Bistro CV twice. The first time was a birthday dinner for our host's family. The food was excellent but fairly expensive. Comments about noise in the dining room were right on. Hard to hear from one end of a big table. Service was very good.... More

Tonight we returned to Bistro CV for a second visit, two years after our first impressive meal there. A lot can happen in two years, and ambitious restaurants often can't maintain their standards over time. I am happy to report that is not an issue with Bistro CV. If anything, we enjoyed our meal more for having taken our advice... More
