The pork is the best item. The rice is too yellow. The owners wife is sorta rude. The owner is friendly and nice.

We have been to this restaurant several times. This past weekend led us to their doorstep again. Absolutely in love with the vegetarian plate - beans and rice, Yuca, and plantains. Couldn't be better. Hubby enjoyed the pork plate; tender, juicy and tasty! Don't forget to enjoy a guava and cheese empanada, too. So worth the drive...

Finally! A small, family owned, Cuban restaurant! Authentic Cuban, tastes straight from Mom's kitchen. The lechon was tender and delicious. The black beans and yucca were also awesome. The Flan and Tres Leches were a delicious way to top off a meal. This place is small (eight tables). You order at the counter. May have to get there early to... More

Having spent a lot of time in South Florida and enjoying the great Cuban food there I had often wished for a great Cuban restaurant close to home. I was excited to hear that this restaurant had opened in the hood and gave them a few months before trying them. Slow roasted pork, Lechon Asado, is how I rate a... More

This is a little joint in a strip mall in Lakewood that is a convenient place to stop by coming down from the mountains after a weekend of skiing. You can get a sandwich or a platter of Cuban goodness. The sandwich, although flavorful, seemed kinda skimpy for the price. It would be nice if it came with sides. The... More

A friendly place where the people who work there and possibly own it (they were so dedicated to quality and service) are warm and friendly. The food was fantastic. The meals are big (especially the plate dishes) and the sandwiches are huge. All of the food is delicious. Cuban pork dishes with lots of garlic and carmelized onion are so... More

Very quaint Cuban eatery. Was recommended very highly by a local Cuban family. Their sandwiches are spectacular!! Their specials are large portions, so if you like to share, then this would be a great place for a family. Most people told me there would be a wait, but I walked in and found a seat right away. Love to hear... More

This was my first venture to Frijoles. I loved the atmosphere, the people and the food. I have never had Cuban cuisine before but the food reminded me of some meals that I had when traveling through Costa Rica and we would stop to eat at the Sodas (ma and pa owned family style eateries on the side of the... This is a little place in the Kings Soopers Shopping Center. You walk in and place your order, pay, and they bring it to the table. The pork was fabulous, the steak good, and we did not care for the flavors in the rice and beans. The fried plantains were delicious. There are no alcoholic beverages served. When we arrived... More
