Approaching the restaurant on foot, we noticed the large number of people waiting outside and figured it had to be good. Our party of five waited about 25 minutes for a table and were seated in the bar area which is a bit noisy. The brews are average at best, but the food was delicious. Highly recommend the fish tacos!

We've been customers of this establishment since Day One. Last night they got fired. For the second time in a row, we felt totally rushed to leave. The busser stuck her fingers in our unfinished drink glasses and picked them up, THEN asked if we were done. "We are now!" And while we're not the world's fastest eaters and we... More

So we pulled into Durango at 9:30 on a Friday night. Three hungry, thirsty, tired drivers after 14 hours on the road. Not many places open but we limped into Steamworks Brewing not wanting a too heavy meal at 10 pm. Soup and salad seemed about right so I ordered it with the clam chowder. I'm picky about clam chowder.... More

A must visit in Durango for the atmosphere and nice staff (rare in this town), but the food just isn't that great. I wish they'd be a little less experimental with the menu and get the easy stuff right before trying to get fancy.

As a beer hunter, I was immediately impressed with the 16 house brews on tap. Usually you are lucky to see 4 or 5, and Steamworks impressed with several Belgian styles, Flander's red sour beer, a very nice chili beer. they offer several "levels" of taster flights, fullfilling the requirements for those of hunting unique and new beers. The food... More

We had a party of 12 including 4 young kids. The entire staff worked together to get us settled in, get the kids occupied with chalk for the concrete floors, and get us watered and fed. The menu had been the same for just about forever and now they've made some nice changes. I had a salmon BLT with a... More

I had read the reviews of the Steamworks Brewing Co. and thought it would be a perfect place to go when we got to Durango as we couldn't check into hotel until 3PM. Parking was very easy at the meter across the street $0.25 for 50 minutes. We got a philly steak sandwich with the Cajun fries and rootbeers as... More
