Description: Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in.Root Down is happy to accommodate guests with allergies or special dietary needs such as Gluten Intolerances and Veganism. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!

As a confirmed carnivore visiting Denver with a vegetarian friend we were treated to a meal at Root Down Denver. Best vegetarian dihes I have had in a long time, and the meat dishes were great too. We went on a Sunday, and it was very busy, but we still got great service too. The place has a laid back... More

For some reason the menu never appeals to me. The preparation is always great but it just misses my palate. That said, I still have to give it a four, it might miss me but the rest of my crowd loves it.

I look at the whole experience, including the waiter/waitress, the atmosphere, other diners, etc. We had fun with our friends here and the food was really delicious, but we had to wait even though we had made reservations and then we had to wait exceptionally long to get our food once we had ordered it. Our waitress was kind of... More

I've never been to a restaurant quite like Root Down. Food is VERY important to everyone here. And, boy, do they know how to do food. I may spend the rest of my life trying to recreate their zucchini poblano soup. The flavors were just, well amazing. The wait staff is totally "into" the food and they'll take all the... More

Starting with the genuine service from Chris B and Bill M, this restaurant is second to none. Perhaps the smartest Chef in Colorado. Every flavor was though through completely and left me wanting more. The drinks we also well thought out and extremely well executed. I'll be back till I try the whole menu.

This farm to table restaurant did not disappoint. Complimentary valet, friendly service, and a menu that was friendly to those with dietary restrictions made this a wonderful experience. They even had vegan and GF dessert options which is rare. A small bonus- nice rubbermaid highchairs with good support for our 6 month old. The high chair was dirty, but that... More

Four of us risked it by showing up on Saturday night - all be it early - 6pm. We got seated on the heated patio right away. The service was great, the variety kept us pleased, entertained and wanting more. Our waiter was spot on regarding the favorites. We will be back.

Food was absolutely delicious. We shared about 6 dishes and were not disappointed with any. The flavors and options for vegans and vegetarians were amazing. Service was great. Our only complaint was that we ordered too many dishes and did not have room to try any of the desserts which looked phenomenal. Oh we'll, there is always next time!

Our party of four went to Root Down for Dinner on a Sunday evening. We made reservations a month in advance and we were seated on time in a very full restaurant. Our waiter Paul kept us going for 2.5 hours without a problem. The food was well prepared, well presented and tasted great. The place is busy and has... More
