Very popular with locals. Service was very good. Our dinner good. The place is nice. Ambiance good. A few steps from the Flatiron Mall.
I often eat at the Village Tavern when I am in the Boulder corridor on Highway 36. I could always count of decent steaks, burgers and chops and top service. I was there earlier this week and was quite disappointed actually. Three of us, with a server obviously at the end of a long shift who peaked several hours earlier.... More
Very romantic table by the very generous fireplace. Amazing appetizers, that we had as our main courses. We have been here many times and they never disappoint. The ambience is very cozy and lovely. I highly recommend it. The hostess could have been a bit friendlier but that was all.
The Tavern has good food but I gave it an average because it does not rate a very good rating. The prices are reasonable and the house Chardonnay is very good for a house wine. The clam chowder is better than most places. The spinach salad is also good. The staff is friendly and the decor is nice. It's worth... More
We ate dinner here on a whim after walking around the next-door mall, it was busy on a Friday night but we got seated after only a short wait. Service was prompt and efficient. I had the shrimp and grits which was excellent and not as heavy as it sounds. We also tried their homemade chips covered with cheese, bacon,... More
We love the location, the ambiance and the menu variety, but after a couple of visits we've come away being less impressed with the food than we would expect. We write this only after multiple so-so experiences.
Good food, good happy hour pricing, friendly service. Went here with the family on a Thursday evening before a movie. Service was fast, food was very good. (Meatloaf was a healthy portion). Prices are good for the amount of food you get
We held a small family reunion at the restaurant several weeks ago, and everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, and service was excellent. The large menu accommodated a broad array of preferences from our group, and no one was disappointed with their food choice. Would reccommend this spot for a gathering of friends or family !
Marvelous interior design adds to the do ing experience. Large booths with high backs allows for private conversation and intimate dining amidst this bustling restaurant. The hamburgers are crazy good and my personal favorite, the sashimi, is an ample portion and sure to please.
The Village Tavern is one of those places that can be a lot of things to a lot of people - it just depends on your mood. On one hand, upon entering, it seems like an upscale restaurant, with nice bar, tons of wood and a vaulted ceiling. It also has outdoor seating, though I believe a limited menu outside.... More
