Description: Welcome to Tempranillo Restaurant, where internationally acclaimed Chef Javier Gonzalez-Bringas, along with his partner and wife Laura, offer a daily menu of drinks, tapas, dinner and lunch. Gonzalez-Bringas, a Madrid Native, combines an old-world style with a new-world flair in his signature cuisine. The name Tempranillo, itself, pays homage to one of Spain's premier grape varieties, and true to its name the restaurant features a selection of over 100 hand-chosen wines and a hearty blend of fruit filled Sangria. The atmosphere at Tempranillo is notable for its rich colors, dual fireplaces, and community gathering table-all reflecting the equally rich depth of flavors and influences which are at the heart of the restaurant's origins. "Our desire is to create a brilliantly charming place in the community where people can gather and enjoy the dance with exists between the flavors of Spain and Italy"

We love going to Tempranillo, the tapas are excellent and it has a warm comfortable atmosphere. We love going here on date night or with the entire family including grandparents. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Denise Basalt

The old Frying Pan restaurant has changed hands a bunch of times and now houses this very nicely decorated place with high quality food and a great wine list. It is pretty expensive though. It is a GREAT spot for summer early dining - the porch is really nice. Service was good and, well, there is not much more to... More

We had a party of 6, and our reservation ensured we sat right down, greeted instantly with friendly service. The atmosphere was clean and not tacky. The service was fantastic and quick, the servers really cared about our experience. The food was very excellent! The small plates didn't leave you feeling grossed out with too much food, just the right... More

The food is good, and the atmosphere is charming. Unfortunately, that charm does not extend to the waitstaff. The waiter and waitress are rude and inappropriate to say the least, I recommend getting the food to go.

We sat out on the "porch" and had a wonderful dinner. Sangria-caesar salad and wonderful entrees complemented by yummy desserts. Service was wonderful.

i have been going to tempranillo since it first opened. the food is excellent, always. the closest to madrid that i've been able to find in colorado. but the service stinks. we are treated like 2nd class citizens for whatever reason, maybe because we don't live in nearby aspen or come in regularly. i don't know the source of the... We wanted to check out Basalt, Co and used TA to find Tempranillo. It has a really nice patio. So we were sold on it. We asked about the fried fresh organic artichoke dish, and the server was honest and said the artichokes were not fresh, but from a jar. Not a good start. No restaurant should say they have... More

Really enjoyed the food here. Everything was very fresh and i had a Halibut special which was amazing. Love the long tapas table in the bar area and the porch looks like a hopping spot. I ate in the restaurant and it was great.

The food at Tempranillo is quite good, and the setting is lovely. But no one has trained the staff to be friendly or welcoming. Whether you are a local or a tourist, the feeling is that they could not care less that you are there. I do not think this is the waitstaff's fault, but rather that management has not... More
